Inkfield

Inkfield is a real-time territory game for up to ten players per arena, with friendly bots filling empty seats so a match is always ready. You are a blob of living ink. Inside your own land you are safe; step outside and you leave a wet trail behind you. Make it back home and the loop closes: every cell inside it becomes yours, even land that belonged to someone else.

How to play

• Steer with the arrow keys or W A S D. On a phone, drag anywhere on the arena: a joystick appears under your thumb. You cannot turn straight back.
• Claim land: leave your territory, draw a loop and return to it. Everything enclosed turns into your color.
• Cut trails: touch another player's trail while they are out and they are wiped off the map. The same happens to you, so keep your trips short when rivals are close.
• Avoid the arena wall and your own trail. In a head-on crash, whoever is outside their own land loses.
• Ink surges (blue droplets) splash a random blob of land around you. Gold stars give bonus experience.
• Progress: every life earns experience. Level up to unlock new colors, patterns and trail effects, and finish three daily missions to keep your streak going.
